From either a squared set or from a circle formed from a squared set, each boy will have his corner to his left, and each girl will have her corner to her right. The corners start an **Allemande Left** by facing each other. Note that to do this, each boy will start by turning a bit to his left, and each girl will start by turning a bit to her right. They step forward and take hold of each other's left forearm, and then turn around each other halfway, using their joined arms as a pivot. They then drop hands and step forward so that they are directly facing their partner.
