From either a squared set or from a circle formed from a squared set, each boy will have his corner to his left, and each girl will have her corner to her right. The corners start an Allemande Left by facing each other. Note that to do this, each boy will start by turning a bit to his left, and each girl will start by turning a bit to her right. They step forward and take hold of each other's left forearm, and then turn around each other halfway, using their joined arms as a pivot. They then drop hands and step forward so that they are directly facing their partner.
