6.2: ANY HAND

MORE INFO
Any Hand
Any Hand is applied to calls that normally start with a right arm turn, e.g, Swing Thru. It means to ignore that part of the definition, and instead start either right or left, whichever hand the dancers already have in their mini-wave (in each half of the line, in the case of a line of four).

It also means that if the dancers find themselves in a couple when they would normally do their next arm turn, they substitute a different action. For example, on an Any Hand Swing Thru if one half of the line starts in a right-handed mini-wave and the other half starts in a left-handed mini-wave, each pair turns half by their respective hands and then the new centers do a Partner Trade.
