27: MORE REGULAR VERBS - BOXES

We will now look at several actions that are normally done from a "mini-wave box" -- that is, a four person box consisting of two pairs of dancers, with either both pairs holding right hands or both pairs holding left hands.

What all of these actions have in common is that they are defined in terms of Leaders and Trailers The Leaders, who are the dancers facing out of the box, do one thing. The Trailers, who are the dancers facing into the box, do something else.

We have already seen an example of this, with Box Circulate. To do a Box Circulate, the Leaders flip over into the adjacent spot, just as if they were doing a Run. The Trailers walk straight forward, without turning.

Understanding whether you are a Leader or a Trailer is the key to doing all actions of this type correctly.
