2.4: MOVING AND TURNING THE SAME AMOUNT

During a counter rotate, each dancer is both moving in a circular path and also turning (changing facing direction). You can think of this as two different actions, or as one action that involves both moving and turning. It doesn't matter, because the moving and turning are happening at the same time and by the same amount. Because they are all turning, after a counter rotate all dancers can roll.

In a Counter Rotate 1/4, the dancer will be moving 1/4 of the way along the circular path, and also turning 1/4 (or 90 degrees, or "one wall").

In a Counter Rotate 1/2, the dancer will be moving 1/2 of the way along the circular path, and also turning 1/2 (or 180 degrees, or "two walls").

In a Counter Rotate 3/4, the dancer will be moving 3/4 of the way along the circular path, and also turning 3/4 (or 270 degrees, or "three walls").
