1.6: COUNTER ROTATE COMPARED WITH CIRCULATE
A Counter Rotate is different from a Circulate.The illustrations show these two actions, for the case of an ordinary box (two parallel mini-waves).

| DIFFERENCES | |
| Half the people don't turn at all, half the people turn 180 degrees. | Everybody turns 90 degrees. |
| Therefore, only half the people can Roll. | Everybody can Roll. |
| Everybody must temporarily drop hands (but should take hands again when they are done). | Everybody can (and should) keep holding hands with the others in their box. |
| The box will still be facing the same kind of walls (head or side). | If the box started facing head walls, it will end facing side walls, and vice versa. |
